Herrick Families,
This is an important message regarding widespread rainfall this week.
Rainfall is expected to begin tomorrow and increase on Thursday with scattered showers through the end of the week. Los Angeles Unified will closely monitor conditions at all schools. All schools will remain open for instruction. We will be in direct contact with families if schools are affected.
As part of our preparation, school staff has walked the campus to identify any areas that may be impacted by rain and taken appropriate next steps. We will modify our planned schedule as appropriate, including canceling or rescheduling outdoor activities.
The safety of our students, employees, and school communities remains our top priority. We urge everyone to continue to be careful and cautious and to allow extra time for your commute and use extreme caution when driving to school. As an additional reminder, please ensure your child wears appropriate clothing, including warm jackets and water durable shoes.
We appreciate everyone’s continued flexibility and patience throughout this week. As always, if you have any questions, please contact the school at (818) 367-1864.
