First Day of School 8.14.25

Hello Herrick Families,

I hope all of you had a pleasant summer break.  I am reaching out to provide you with important information to prepare you for the first day of school.

1) The first day of School is Thursday, August 14th.  There will be posters at the front and back of our campus that will have rosters for each classroom.  The posters will be by grade level.  Go to your child's grade level and look for his/her name.  Once you find it, the roster will have the classroom number.  You will then walk into campus to the BIG YARD and find your assigned classroom teacher.  Teachers will be holding up posters with their classroom number. Students will then line up with the teacher. 

2) We will continue to offer early supervision of students beginning at 7 a.m. at the front of our school. 

3) Letters have been sent to all families to explain details for our first day of school. If you need an additional       copy, there is one posted on our website. 

4) The first day of school is a Minimum Day and school will be out at 12:39 p.m.

5) All parents will be allowed on campus for the 1st day of school (morning and afternoon.) 

6) Only TK and Kinder parents will be allowed on campus the 2nd day of school.  

7) On the third day of school, parents will no longer be able to enter campus (morning/afternoon) as we are a closed campus for safety reasons. 

8) We ask for your support with dropping off & picking up PSC, PALS, TK, Kinder, 1st and 2nd grade students at the front of the school. 

9) We ask for your support with dropping off and picking up 3rd, 4th & 5th grade students at the back of our school. 

10) All students are provided free breakfast and lunch each and every day.

11) We are a uniform school and all students are expected to wear a school uniform consistently starting September 2nd.
