The following are this week's updates and reminders:
1) Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to complete the School Experience Survey. We truly appreciate your feedback.
2) A reminder that Tutoring will continue after spring break. It's important that students attend.
3) Tuesday is early dismissal and school will be out at 1:09 p.m.
4) Also Tuesday, we will have a "Walk to Wellness" parent workshop presented by our Healthy Start Navigator, Dr. Shin in the parent center at 8:15 a.m. If you did not register last week, you can still join at any time!
5) On Wednesday we have our Spring Pictures and 5th grade promotion photos. Please return your paid photo envelope for spring pictures. And all students in 5th grade will have their promotion photos taken this day as well.
6) On Thursday at 8:30 am, PTA elections for the 2026-2027 school year will be held in the parent center. Please join us to vote so that we can keep our PTA going! If you are interested in becoming a board member, you will also be able to nominate yourself at the elections. 7) On Friday, we have a parent workshop in Spanish from the LA Dept of Mental Health titled "Prevención Abuso Infantil y Resiliencia" at 8:30 am in the parent center.
8) Also on Friday, we will be hosting our Student and Citizen of the Month awards assemblies. Invites will be sent out. Times are as follows:
10:00- 2nd, 3rd
10:20- 4th, 5th
10:40-Pals, PSC, UTk, K, 1st
9) We now have Herrick Uniforms and other Herrick items available to purchase online! We do still have some sizes in stock on campus. If you would like purchase in person, contact our community representative, Sarah Chavez. Otherwise, order here! 10) Friday is also Heavy Medal Day and all students are welcome to wear any medals to school that they have earned from Herrick.
