The following are this week's updates and reminders:
1) Monday, we have our "Walk and Talk" parent workshop at 8:30 am. We will meet in the parent center and then walk around outside campus. What to expect: Meet new people, enjoy the outdoors, and support mental wellbeing together.
2) Letters with information regarding setting up parent portal accounts were sent home last week. Be sure to register! 3) For 5th grade students looking to apply to magnet or charter middle schools, the LAUSD CHOICES application window is open from now until November 6th. Apply here https://choices.lausd.net/
4)Tuesday is early dismissal and school will be out at 1:09 p.m.
5) On Wednesday, we will have a volunteer orientation at 8:30 am. It will take place in the parent center and via zoom. https://lausd.zoom.us/j/81622898279
6) On October 22nd at 9am, School police will be hosting a volunteer training for our valet program. If you would like to join the training and assist with our valet lane in the mornings, please let us know!
7) On November 14th, we will have our Fall Beautification day. Only volunteers who have been processed are able to participate. If you would like to join us, please complete an application online at volunteerapp.lausd.net or request a One-Time Event paper application from our community representative, Sarah Chavez. This must be completed by October 14th in order to be processed in time.
8) Friday is our Tiger store. Students who are present will have the opportunity to visit the store with their teacher and purchase prizes with the tickets that they have earned for being safe, responsible and respectful.
9) A reminder that all gates will close 5 minutes after dismissal. Any student not picked up before this time will need to be picked up from the front office.
10) Please remind students to check the lost and found bin for any missing items. Parents are welcome to stop by the office to come check the lost and found bin as well.
11) Don't forget! When you attend, you win! Students who attend school every day between today, October 5th and December 18th, will be entered in a drawing to win a Squishmallow or hugger on December 18th!
12) Please remember that students are expected to wear uniforms Monday-Thursday. Every Friday is free dress day!
