Hello Herrick Families,
The following are this week's updates and reminders:
1) On Monday all students will be participating in the viewing of the solar eclipse. Our school will be operating on our regular schedule, and our staff will be discussing the eclipse with the students. It is crucial to remember not to look directly at the sun during the eclipse without protective eyewear to avoid permanent eye damage. Students will be provided with solar eclipse glasses.
2) Tuesday is early dismissal and students will be out at 1:09 p.m.
3) On Tuesday is our PTA Chipotle School Fundraiser. It will be from 4-8 p.m. and will take place at the Chipotle on 1100 Truman St. in San Fernando. 25% of profits will be donated to our school.
4) On Wednesday we have our Health Insurance Family Event from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Parent Center. This event is led by our Student and Family Resource Navigators. Please see attachment for more information.
* To promote good attendance, our school is randomly selecting one student who is present at school each day to receive either a gift card for "In n Out" or a "Hugger."
