Hello Herrick Families,
The following are this week's updates & reminders:
1) On Monday we have a Parent Workshop: Understanding Childhood Behaviors. It will be presented by the Department of Mental Health. It will be at 8:30 a.m. in the Parent Center. All parents are invited.
2) Tuesday is early dismissal and school will be out at 1:09 p.m.
3) On Tuesday we are also beginning our new Tuesday HW Help Program. Please see separate Blackboard
email message and school website message for more information.
4) In Celebration of "Children's Day," PTA will be providing a special ice cream treat to all of our students during
lunch time. Thank you to our PTA!!!
5) Thursday we are offering a Cooking Class for parents. It will focus on how to make Chips and Salsa and
will take place in our Parent Center at 1p.m. All parents are invited.
6) Friday we have our Student of the Month Recognition Assemblies:

10:40 - PSC/PALS/UTK CC/K/1st
7) Friday we have a special movie fundraiser after school. Students in 2nd-5th grade are invited to watch Hayao
Miyazaki's movie: My Neighbor Totoro (Rated G). It will be in our auditorium from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. The
cost will be $5.00 and students will receive a treat and drink. This is ONLY for students.
8) Saturday we have a special field trip for our Kinder & 1st grade students to the Aquarium of the Pacific. It will be from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Students have already been selected and we are no longer able to register anymore students.)
