Updates & Reminders Week of 5.06.24

Hello Herrick Families,

The following are updates and reminders for the week of 5.06.24:

1) This week is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. Please join me in thanking all of our amazing

Herrick Teachers and Staff for all of their hard work and invaluable service that they provide each

and every day to our students. A special luncheon, sponsored by PTA, will be provided to all of our

staff on Tuesday.

2) On Monday we are offering a Parent Workshop on Understanding Developmental Disorders. It will be

in our Parent Center (RM. 2) and will be presented by the Department of Health. It will begin at

8:30 a.m.

3) On Wednesday and Thursday, our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will continue to take the SBAC State

test. Please ensure that your child goes to sleep by 9 p.m. or before and has breakfast.

4) On Thursday, our 5th grade students will be taking their Panoramic Grade Level Photo.

5) Also on Thursday, we are offering a Parent Presentation on Community Building Circle: Respect and

Boundaries by Carmen Camacho. It will be in the Parent Center and will begin at 8:30 a.m.

6) A reminder that we are a uniform school and it is important that all students wear their uniform each

and every day.

7) Parents, if you pick up your child from the back gate afterschool, I ask that you please not double or

triple park as this is a very dangerous practice and students may get hurt. We appreciate your cooperation

in ensuring the safety of all of our students.
